September is National Preparedness Month

Even with Hurricane Gustav and now Hurricane Hanna striking the Gulf Coast, most Americans still think a disaster won't happen to them. Ready.gov and Citizens Corps are running several campaigns to increase the level of American preparedness. It is basic, common sense approach to dealing with disasters. You can find out more here:

It is also good time to remember to check your smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and flashlights.
